hey, something’s cooking at Steve Vai’s studio.. 😉VAI OH MY: This is going to sound unbelievable, but the last time I tracked a song for a Steve Vai studio album was 22 years ago, for his 1999 release “The Ultra Zone”. That is, until yesterday, when I visited Ye Olde Harmony Hut and joined Sir Vai for an afternoon of tracking a harmonically dense, deceptively difficult, and extremely epic and rewarding tune for his next album in progress. (There’s no session quite like a Steve Vai session!) I can’t say more, but the lineup of players on this album is just reeee-diculous. As always, I’m just grateful to be included in such a thing. I’m sure Steve will have plenty to say about it at the right time, so stay tuned.
